1. Since we finished Ted Lasso (although I think it about starting it again more days than not), we started on our next AppleTV series, Slow Horses. I have dabbled in Mick Herron’s books, meaning to spend some time in that universe for a long time, so I knew I wanted to watch this show as soon as it was announced. We blew through season one and have started season two. It’s just as fantastic as it should be, with the stellar cast. It’s violent. So I’m sure it’s not for everyone. But fans of a spy series can appreciate the thought behind these stories and will laugh out loud of Gary Oldman’s snark. Because he is the heart of this series, and he casting is perfection.

2. In the last big iPhone update, they changed the timer function so you can have more than one going at once. I always use that on Sundays, laundry day, to remind myself to go down and do the laundry things. It used to be that I had to stop using the timer for laundry if I needed it for cooking or baking. But now, I can have more than one timer going at once, so I can keep an eye on when the dryer is done and I need to go fold the clothes and when my chicken pot pie is ready to come out of the oven. Love it!

3. Yesterday was my aunt’s 90th birthday party. She lives out of town, and we weren’t able to go, but we did get some photos sent to us and we set up a video call between my mother and my cousin, so my mom could see everyone and tell her sister happy birthday. It looked like they had a good time. I hope so, as Peggy always worked hard to make sure everyone was as happy and as well-fed as she could make them. I hope she enjoyed herself and felt the love.
