1. Yesterday was the first home game for KC’s women’s soccer club, KC Current. They’ve had home games before, of course, but at Children’s Mercy Stadium, where our men’s team played. But yesterday was the inaugural game at their new stadium, the first stadium in the world built specifically for a women’s sports team. First in the world. It was such an amazing achievement, and a great game (they won!). But seriously, the only stadium built specifically for a woman’s team in the world? We all need to do better.

2. There is a new show on Food Network called Wildcard Kitchen, where 3 chefs come to the kitchen with $5,000 of their own money and wager with each other based on cards they’re dealt. It’s hosted by Eric Adjepong, and it’s a lot of fun. It’s laid-back, done after hours in the Food Network kitchens, and it’s fun to see chefs let their hair down a little. I doubt this one will last very long, but I will enjoy it while it does.

3. This coming week starts the new season of Top Chef. I can’t wait! And there is a new season of Amazing Race that started last week, and with all the soccer that’s on, I will be glued to my television for the near future!
