1. After a really chaotic week of furniture removals and appliance and furniture deliveries, and clearing everything out of my mother’s apartment, last week was relatively quiet. I’m starting to get things back in place, which is nice. I mean, there’s still a lot of extra stuff around, which is a project for later in the year. But we are definitely making progress.

2. Tomorrow we have a new proofreader starting at work, to replace one who left us early this year for a full-time position. It means I’ll be spending time this week training her, which is a bit of a time suck, but in the long run, I think she will do really well in the position.

3. This guy was super snuggly this morning. I’ve been gone so much more than usual this year that it was so nice to just relax on the sofa and be a cat bed for a while. I need more weekends like that.
