1. We had another burst of arctic weather, which we got through by staying inside as much as possible. And now, next week’s temperatures are supposed to be in the 40s. I am hoping that that ends the below freezing temperatures for 2024. Actually, for all of the 2020s. Let’s just not do that again in Kansas, okay?

2. Jumper cables and an amazing guy to help with them. My car’s battery died last weekend, during those arctic temperatures, so amazing guy not only let me drive his car to work all week, he gave my battery a jump this afternoon so I can drive my car tomorrow. Probably. There’s always a chance the battery will drain again, but for tonight, it’s taken care of.

3. A weekend filled with early bedtimes, warm blankets, and sofa snuggles. That is what I wanted for 2024.
