1. It was a lovely spring weekend. Sunny but not too hot, not stormy, not too windy. It was lovely, a brief reminder that Kansas can make lovely weather before it turns to another too hot, too humid summer. It’s a Kansas thing. And for some reason, we stay anyway.

2. We got to go see Brett Goldstein on his comedy tour. That is Brett Goldstein, as in the man who played Roy Kent in Ted Lasso and worked as a writer on the show as well. It was a lot of fun, and it gave us a chance to get out of the house and laugh a lot, which I think we needed. And it was our first time at the venue, the Kaufman Center here in Kansas City, and that was beautiful.

3. Before the show, we got to g to one of our favorite restaurants here in town, The Belfry. It’s owned by a James Beard award-winning chef, so the food is phenomenal. My favorite was the housemade pretzels with the cheese sauce. I could eat those every day and never be tired of them. We need to head back that way soon!
