1. Barmageddon. It’s pretty funny, and it makes cornhole look like fun. But really, I want to be part of that human foosball game. That looks like serious fun.

2. A safe New Year’s Eve. Of course, we helped make it safer by going to bed at 9:30. I didn’t even hear when midnight hit. But then, the end of last week and this weekend got a little rough here, so an early bedtime was in order, no matter what night it was.

3. My mother has been in the hospital since Thursday. She is doing okay, is stable, and is being cared for by kind nurses. I’m glad she is somewhere she is safe and being taken care of by professionals, but it’s also difficult knowing what she is going through. She will recover, but it will be a challenging path. So I have to say that so far 2024 has been difficult. I hope for easier days to come.
